Hannah Kauders is a writer-translator and educator from Boston. She holds an MFA from Columbia University and teaches writing at Harvard.
For her writing, Hannah has been a finalist for The Iowa Review Award. For her translation of Iván Monalisa Ojeda’s Las Biuty Queens, she was shortlisted for the Premio Valle Inclán and nominated for the International Booker. Her work has appeared in The Drift, Astra Magazine, Lit Hub, Fiction International, and more.
Writing: Hannah is seeking representation for a memoir grappling with faith, love, and translation leading up to her father’s death. She is also at work on a novel.
Translation: Hannah is interested in stylistically innovative projects that defy genre, particularly queer narratives and works that integrate elements of prose and poetry. She is currently translating Galápagos by Fátima Vélez for Astra House, among other projects.
